Recently I haven't been having bad skin days, I've been having bad skin weeks! For the past few weeks, infact most of February, I've been hating on my skin. My T-zone in particular has been breakout central, and everything that usually works in clearing them up hasn't been doing the best of jobs. I thought they were invincible, until my Mum went shopping and bought back a little gem of a product I thought I would talk about today...

THE PACKAGING
____________________________________________________________________________________
Considering my Mum picked this up for the bargain price of 99p, the packaging was quite good. There was a secondary packaging (the outer cardboard case), that gave a lot of indepth information, how to use, the properties and ingredients, along with the claims about the speed in which it acts for example. The product itself them had the directions of use repeated, along with the claims, and properties, so that you could chuck out the cardboard, and still have all the information. It was branded exactly like the rest of the T-Zone products, a brand I've used before, so even though I hadn't tried this yet, I did feel familiar with it, and kind of already trusted it to do good things!

THE APPLICATOR

Rubbish! It's the biggest let down of this product. It's really hard to judge how hard you need to squeeze the tube, lightly and no product comes out, only slightly harder, and there's so much I have to spread it across my face with the quite hard plastic nozzle. Not the best, but for the price it isn't a deal breaker, I think with more usage, I'll start to figure it out.

THE GEL
____________________________________________________________________________________
I'm not always a fan of gel products, I can sometimes find them a bit sticky, and feel like they just sit on my skin, but this isn't like that at all. When I apply it over a spot, it forms a covering that I feel protects it from make-up, and general oils and dirt that could build up on my skin. It doesn't feel sticky and I do feel like it absorbs and gets to work on my skin rather than just sitting there. It contains the ingredients Tea Tree, Witch Hazel and Salicylic Acid. The combination of the three of these result in very strong scented, quite chemically smelling gel, however, I don't feel like the smell stays on my skin, so it doesn't bother me too much. All of these ingredients are proven to work on spots, so it seems like a dream spot zapping partnership in a little (literally - it's only 8ml!) tube!

THE CLAIMS
____________________________________________________________________________________
T-zone claim that this product 'rapidly targets, prevents and calms spots and blemishes. This cooling and quick drying gel combines naturally antibacterial Tea Tree and Witch Hazel with clearing Salicyclic Acid to help promote great looking skin'. Are they right? Kind of. Targets spots - yes, but that's probably because I'm applying it directly to the spot. Prevents - not really, but this might be because I've only been using it for a few days, and I'm only applying it to current spots, so I'm not sure how it'll prevent them in the future. Calms - definitely.

THE VERDICT
____________________________________________________________________________________
It seems to have made my skin better in only a couple of days, and considering nothing else was working for me this is a little miracle in a tube for me. It's quite strong, so I'm guessing some people won't like it, maybe those with really sensitive skin. Anyway, I'm a fan, and based on first impressions it's definitely something I'd repurchase again.
