It's a part of the skincare saga I always used to avoid. Why do I need to use an eye cream when I can just slop on the all over face cream and save myself extra effort and time. Well whilst I was in Boots, a good four or five months ago, I decided I'd pick up an eye cream, and give it a try. I didn't want to spend a fortune, and it was a spur of the moment purchase, but was it worth it?

THE PACKAGING AND THE APPLICATOR

Standard. It really isn't anything special, and doesn't have the biggest budget. The nozzle applicator, is a really good size. It can be used either directly against the skin to apply product under the eye, or to your finger to then transfer the product. It is quite easy to squeeze out a bit too much product, so be careful with this.

THE CREAM

The cream is a really nice, thick, creamy consistency. It isn't greasy, and leaves the skin feeling smooth and soft. The product sinks into the skin and doesn't sit on top, and it leaves a really good base to apply under eye make up to, without making it slide. It is slightly coloured (a bit of an off white cream shade), but this doesn't mean it leaves any colour on the skin - I mean it doesn't have any pay off like a concealer would. The cream also contains SPF 15 which is a really good property of this budget product, and really helps around the sensitive eye area.

THE CLAIMS
___________________________________________________________________________________
Boots say that this is 'a light, non-greasy formulation that helps reduce appearance of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles within 4 weeks'. As I said above it is a light and non-greasy formulation, so Boots are correct here. Now, I don't have a lot a fine lines, however everyone has those laugh lines, around the side of there eyes, and I wouldn't particularly say it has changed the appearance of those. However, it has transformed my dark circles. It has incredibly brightening properties, and I would say I began to notice a difference after about 4 weeks. I've been using this product for about 3 months now, and there is still a visible difference each time I use it and it has lasting effects.

THE PRICE
___________________________________________________________________________________
I've been banging on about how this is a budget eye cream all the way through this blog post. This cream is available from Boots for £2.54. Ok, Ok, I may have built the price up a bit, to make it seem so budget, I made it seem free, but I think that this is very good value. There is 15ml of product, and I've used it nearly everyday for four months and I'm still not near the end of the tube. Good value for money in my opinion.

THE VERDICT

I'm not an eye cream expert, but in my opinion it does everything I want it to do. It's something I'll be repurchasing when it runs out, and it's not something I'm wanting to find an alternative to - to me, that's a sign of a firm favourite.
Boots Skincare is currently 3 for 2, and the eye cream is available as part of the Vitamin E range.
Have you tried this eye cream?
Do you have another that is your favourite?
I've never tried an eye cream before but this ones seems great and such a good price! I love boots skincare range, it's so affordable but good quality as well!

I love it, I actually haven't anything else from the range but I might give the night cream a go because that's something else I haven't tried before!
