The Soap and Glory Collagen-Coat Mascara

To be precise the full name of this product is the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast High-Definition Collagen-Coat Mascara. A mouthful to say the least. For my birthday back in February my Auntie got me this mascara as a part of an S&G set, so I've been trialing it for a couple of months now and thought I'd give you my thoughts. I'll be talking about everything from the packaging to the brush to the staying power so lets go.

The Dreamy Naked 2 Palette

Owning an Urban Decay Naked Palette is something I've lusted after for a pretty long time. I've never felt like I could justify spending that much amount of money on a palette when a) I already own a countless number and b) the money could come in very useful elsewhere! But my friends know me just too well, and as a little present for making it a year past my stroke and getting ready for uni, they bought me the Naked 2 Palette! It was such a lovely thing and something I totally did not expect. But has the palette I placed such high hopes on lived up to my expectations?

The Most Loved MUA Eye Palette

A couple of Christmas's ago I received the MUA Undressed palette and since then it has become one of the most loved items in my make up drawer and my most loved MUA product. It's my go to for a neutral eye look, has that all important eyebrow filler shade, and seems to just be that one palette that I feel the need to take with me where ever I go.

The Schwarzkopf Got2b Volumizing Powder

I've had my hair cut shorter about four months ago now, and at the time my hairdresser told me it would be good to buy a volumizing powder, and this will add more texture to my shorter hair. Basically being given a reason to go to Boots, I took myself off in search of a volumizng powder. I picked up the Got2b powder, I already love this brand, and their heat defence spray has been a firm favourite of mine for a while, so I even though I hadn't read any reviews, I thought I'd give it a whirl. I've been trying it out for the past few months and here are my thoughts.

Review: Essie Help Me Grow Base Coat

I wore Gel nails for a couple of months, a couple of months ago. They wrecked my nails. I've had them before and the after effects have never been as bad as they had this time. They were flaking, brittle, breaking, they wouldn't grow, they were yellow and very dehydrated. They were the worse they had ever been. I used to have really good, strong nails, but not anymore. I tried so many different things. I left them bare for a while, no polish, no products in a hope that they would begin to grow out. They weren't growing, while ever they didn't grow, the bad nail was going to stay. I looked online for a miracle cure. While in Boots, I went to the Essie Stand and saw the 'Help Me Grow Base Coat', 'That's what I need' I thought so I bought one.

The Collection Lasting Colour Lipsticks

I bought one of these lipsticks a long time ago. It must be about six/seven months ago, and I wore it loads. But then it became victim to the back of the make up drawer and that was that. A couple of weeks ago an email popped into my inbox telling me that the Collection Lipsticks were on 2 for £5. In the same email Superdrug were telling me I needed to use the points on my points card - what store makes you spend your points? Anyway, I wasn't going to waste the small amount of £2 that I had accumulated. It was time for a shopping trip.

A Lasting Finish Face

In Sunday's monthly favourites I posted about two new discoveries of the month - The Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude Foundation and Lasting Finish Concealer. I thought I'd post about them today in a bit more detail and why they have become firm favourites of mine.

Favourite Five... Soap and Glory Products

Up until about a year ago I had never tried any product from Soap and Glory. I think it was when I received an S&G gift set for my birthday that my obsession began. Today I thought I'd talk through some of my favourite products from them and why I love them so much...

Review: Rimmel Soft Kohl Eye Liner

I picked this little eye liner up from a Boots store in Manchester a few weeks ago. At the time there was a promotion, so I picked it up in two shades - the black and the grey. As a girl who is looking for a quick and easy what to do a winged liner with a pencil, what do I think of them?

Monthly Favourites | April 2015

April has shown the first signs of Spring and Summer here in the UK, and I have a very summery April Favourites for you today. April in itself is a favourite for me as it's actually my favourite month of the year! Keep reading to see what made it into this month's favourites...

Review: No7 Natural Blush Blusher

It takes a lot for a blusher to impress me. I don't have a lot in my make up collection because it's very rare that they get past the swatching on the back of my hand phase. A couple of years ago (yes, this product is out of date and I really shouldn't still be using it! Sorry!) I stumbled across a No7 Blusher that would become a permanent go-to product.

Rimmel Match Perfection vs Rimmel Wake Me Up

They are fierce competitors in the foundation wars. Created by the same high street brand Rimmel, The Match Perfection and Wake Me Up foundations are firm favourites of mine. They are my go to everyday foundations, but which would come out on top if I could only choose one?

Review: Nivea Express Hydration Primer

I've just got around to purchasing another pot of my favourite moisturiser. I couldn't imagine my make up bag without it, and I thought I would do a little review of what I think is a little pot of skin loving goodness. Let's talk about the Nivea Express Hydration Primer...

The Budget Boots Vitamin E Eye Cream

It's a part of the skincare saga I always used to avoid. Why do I need to use an eye cream when I can just slop on the all over face cream and save myself extra effort and time. Well whilst I was in Boots, a good four or five months ago, I decided I'd pick up an eye cream, and give it a try. I didn't want to spend a fortune, and it was a spur of the moment purchase, but was it worth it?

Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Shine Lacquer

My Auntie bought me a few Soap and Glory Products for my Birthday and included was the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Shine Lacquer in Charm Offensive. Having been a massive fan of the Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick for quite some time I was excited to try another S&G product. I'd also not tried a lip lacquer before, and wasn't sure how I'd get on with it. Anyway, here is what I thought...

First Impressions: Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

Benefit's new releases are always hotly anticipated and the brand stir the beauty scene everytime they put something new on the shelves. This time, it's the turn of the new 'Roller Lash' Mascara to take the market by storm. In this month's issue of Elle Magazine, Benefit have been giving away Mini Roller Lash Mascara's ahead of it's launch in March. I picked up a copy, to see if this product deserves the hype like the rest of them, and thought I'd give you my first impressions. Here is what I think of it...

Review: Crumb by Ruby Tandoh

Ruby Tandoh started making waves in the baking world when she became a Great British Bake Off Finalist in 2013. Since then she has gone on to become a writer for The Guardian and Elle Magazine, and write her own book, Crumb, in 2014. I got this book for Christmas (signed as well! Ahh), and here is what I think of it...

Review: Rimmel London Provocalips Lip Colour

Buying one of these lip colours had been on my to do list for a very long time. As soon as they were launched I read a whole heap of blog posts about them that said how fantastic their staying power was! Who doesn't want great staying power? It promises to last for 16 hours, and according to Rimmel themselves be 'kiss proof, food proof and transfer proof'. I've been trying them out in the colours 230 Kiss Fatal and 200 I'll Call You. So what do I think?
