Review: Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

Back in the day when I was a young teenager figuring out the difference between less is more and more is more, this concealer was one of the key items in my make up bag. I used to smear it all over my face, essentially as a foundation, and then when I realised that wasn't really the look I wanted to go with anymore, this concealer worked it's way to the bottom of my make up bag and never really found it's way back out. However, on a recent trip to boots to look for a new concealer, I thought I'd give it a go again. I know remember why every body raves about it. I've fallen back in love.

THE COVERAGE

The best. So I tend to use this to cover any redness and blemishes/spot scarring. I don't use it so much on spots because I find it clings a little bit and makes the skin look quite dry in these areas. But on any little blemishes, and areas of redness, I works fantastically. It's a very high coverage concealer so I blend it really well, and tend to use a primer so this is a bit easier to do. When I do this I get a flawless coverage. Even though it's great I stick with my Rimmel Concealer for under my eyes because it seems to crease less.

THE SHADES

I purchased this in 01 Fair - no surprises there I am the palest person ever. It is a good match to be honest, and it's not yellow which I sometimes find really fair concealers tend to be. There do seem to be a few shades of this available however both when I went to store, and when I looked online, a lot were out of stock. This is such a shame. I'd definitely recommend going to store and doing a couple of swatches before purchasing.

THE PRICE

This concealer costs £4.19 and is available at Boots. I think this is really competitive. Another favourite concealer of mine is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer and that's £5.49. Since I last purchased the collection concealer I'm pretty sure it has shrunk in size - but haven't a lot of products in the last few years, but you still get a good amount for product for your money. I will keep repurchasing this product - my love has been restored.

The first day I wore this, my friend said you're make up looks particularly good today. While ever people are complimenting me like that I'm not going to neglect it to the back of the make up bag anytime soon again.

See you next time
Love, Hannah x
