Monthly Favourites | July 2015

This month I've got some quite varied beauty that are more skincare than make-up, and then a very random couple of lifestyle favourites. I'll stop teasing you and just start telling you shall I? Let's get started!

Monthly Favourites | June 2015

I won't lie, usually I'm trying to condense things I've been loving in a month to just a few of my favourites - well, this month has really not been like that! I've only got four things to talk about this month, but trust me, they're good.

Monthly Favourites | May 2015

I've been loving the month of May. It's seems to have passed really quickly but I've tried a load of new things, beauty and lifestyle related, so today's favourites feature mainly new discoveries.

Monthly Favourites | April 2015

April has shown the first signs of Spring and Summer here in the UK, and I have a very summery April Favourites for you today. April in itself is a favourite for me as it's actually my favourite month of the year! Keep reading to see what made it into this month's favourites...

Monthly Favourites | March 2015

Last month my favourites were entirely centered around music. Well this month proceedings resume as normal and I've got a couple of beauty favourites, mixed in with a travel related favourite and some other random things. Here goes...

Monthly Favourites | February 2015: Let's talk music!

It's that time again, the end of the month and the time for another monthly favourites - I know I say it every month, but really where does the time go?! This time I've decided I'd stick to one thing only, something I love very much, but don't usually include in my favourites - MUSIC! I'd usually have a couple of beauty favourites, or skincare favourites, but that's not really been the case this month, so I thought I'd talk all about the tracks I'm loving at the moment...

Monthly Favourites | January 2015

It's time for my first monthly favourites of this year....and it's quite a mixed bunch. There's a beauty favourites mixed in with hair products, and completely random things that I don't think even belong to a category. Here goes...

Monthly Favourites | November 2014

It's that time again, time for another Monthly Favourites! I didn't do a one in October because I got to the end of the month and couldn't think of anything I'd been loving, so this month I've been writing down little notes as they weeks have gone by so that I wouldn't get to writing this post and have nothing to write about again! So here goes...

My first favourite is a Nail Varnish from The Body Shop. I have the Top and Base Coat Colour Crush Nail Varnish and it is the best I have ever used. It does exactly what it says on the packaging and makes my Nail Varnish Colour so much longer lasting. I did a Haul post about a load of products I picked up from The Body Shop here where I wrote more about this Nail Varnish so check that one out!

My next favourite is another Nail Varnish! It's from E.L.F cosmetics in the Shade 'Smoky Brown'. It was an absolute bargain because this colour was being discontinued so I don't know if it will still be available but it was only £1! Pair this with my Body Shop Top and Base Coat and I have a combination that goes with everything and lasts for couple of weeks.

I'm loving the Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Caramel this month. I won't lie, it's staying power isn't great so it needs applying multiple times throughout the day. The packaging isn't great either but as an everyday lipstick, for popping to the shops it is really good. It adds a bit of colour and shine to my lips, is really moisturising and it's made it into my favourites because it is the bargain price of £1.99! I know some people would rather spend more money and by one really high quality product, but who doesn't like choice? At this price, you can definitely afford to buy a couple!

My next favourite is a TV favourite. I'm a Celebrity came back this month and it's a sign that Christmas is coming! I absolutely love I'm a Celeb and every year I say I won't get addicted to it but each time I am hooked. It's one of those programs where I go out of my way to try to be able to watch every episode! I end up changing my mind on who I want to win multiple times as the show goes on but I think there'll be a King of The Jungle this year and not a Queen. I won't commit to a name just incase I change my mind again haha!

Finally my favourite, favourite of all. My Girlfriends. It's really hard for us all to get together at the moment, with everyone being spread across the country at work, university and college, and everyone is so busy so meeting up on a date we can all do is almost impossible. This week five out of the six of us managed to meet up ( If you're reading this Alex - we missed you!) and we went for a little meal out to Frankie and Benny's - I say little but three courses later it was actually a pretty big meal. It was great to catch up and see them all!

L-R: Robyn, Myself, Abi, Bridie, Alice

So that's it, another month gone, and another favourites done. I can't believe it's basically December already and in another month's time it'll be a whole new year! Time flies....

Love Hannah x

Monthly Favourites | September 2014

SOAP AND GLORY SUPER VOLUME THICK AND FAST MASCARA - SUPERJET BLACK

The Soap and Glory Super Volume Thick and Fast Mascara is the first Soap and Glory make up product I’d tried. When I’d looked online I saw some mixed reviews on it, so wasn’t sure whether or not to get it, but, I got given it in a Soap and Glory set, and this mascara did not disappoint! I think it’s great! It’s meant to give ‘super volume’ and even though I’m not sure what the difference between this and ‘volume’ is, I think it definitely makes my lashes look longer. It coats my top and bottom lashes really well, and doesn’t flake throughout the day. Because it lasts so well, I tend to wear it on days where I won’t be topping it up and want it to go from day to night.

SOAP AND GLORY SEXY MOTHER PUCKER GLOSS STICK - NUDIST
The perfect nude lipstick. I wear it all the time. It’s got great staying power and is really moisturising on your lips. It’s really annoying when you have a drink and see more of your lipstick has gone onto the cup than stayed on your lips, however this isn’t like that at all. It doesn’t really transfer and I can eat and drink freely without worrying about whether it’s smudged or disappeared completely. It smells great, can’t describe what it smells of but whatever it is is great. It isn’t sticky on your lips and doesn’t have a horrible taste. It comes in a crayon like packaging making it really easy to apply, and build to suit the strength of colour you want.
I have this in the shade nudist and would definitely purchase another colour.

BISCUITS
Throughout the month of September I have rediscovered my love of biscuits! How I ever lost it is beyond me, but I haven’t really sat down and had a cuppa with a couple of biscuits much this year at all until September came. I think when it started getting darker earlier at night, I kind of thought onesie weather was back and that comes with hot chocolates and biscuits. Gone back to my all time favourite, the classic digestive, but I’ve also been having a few Jammy Dodgers, a complete throwback to my childhood!

SCENTED CANDLES
I love a good scented candle, but I’m definitely more of a fan during Autumn/Winter than I am in warmer weather. I bought a couple of cheap candles from Asda last year for a few pounds each and hardly burnt them but this month I’ve lit one in my room every single day and absolutely love them. They were only cheap and the smell isn’t as strong as I would like it too be, however for the price I can’t complain. I’ve become addicted to burning them, and my room just doesn’t look right without them glowing in the corner.

BOOK - ELEANOR AND PARK
I really like this book. I couldn’t put it down. Even though I was desperate to find out how it ended I was kind of gutted when it did. I also felt like there was soooo many unanswered questions I really wanted to read more. The book is about two teenagers, Eleanor and Park (the book title’s imaginative, right?) and its told from both their individual points of view. It’s almost as it the same event is happening twice, but they both think of it differently so often, it tells the reader what’s going on inside their heads, when they don’t know what the other is thinking. It’s about first love, heartbreak, friendship, family loyalties and individual challenges and all within 329 pages.

So that’s it, my first favourites post over. I had no idea what I was going to choose but liked thinking back. September went so quickly, can’t believe it’s already October, it’ll soon be Christmas and then a whole new year. Wow. Time flies! Anyway, back to September, that’s what I was loving. If anyone reads this I’ll do another at the end of October.
Hope you had a good September!
